A day in the mirror,
Frightened and shattered,
Some call it hard work,
Some call it knowledge.
Bright years ahead,
If study holds no power,
Then what does?
The mind controls it all,
The one thing that does.
Whether fortunate or disastrous,
A smile or a tear,
Friendly or reserved,
I haven’t found my second half yet.
Too easy to be true,
Or too hard to achieve,
Who is she to me?
Does she know who I am?
I’m the master of my will.
If her identity is unrecognisable,
Can God carry us both through this?
